Lucia and Pradeep
Florence, January 2010

Lucia and Pradeep escaped from the warm summer of Brisbane to be married in a damp and wintery Florence...

Notwithstanding the weather, Florence in January is quiet, civilized, romantic; the couple felt like they had the place to themselves, and were free of all of the trappings of friends and families needs, desires and involvement in what, for them, was a day of deep personal and private commitment to one another. The Sala Rossa, in the Florence town hall is the perfect setting for a small and personal ceremony: the legally binding civil wedding allows the couple to add readings and exchange of vows, to make the ceremony more important on a personal level.

The couple chose arrive at the Sala Rossa together

At the end of the ceremony, once legally wed, the couple exchaned rings and vows

The weather was not especially friendly - but it did nothing to spoil the couple's day...

...and there are endless covered areas to quietly take shelter together

...including the corridor leading to the Ponte Vecchio bridge

The couple were chauffeured out of town for more pictures and sight-seeing
