Arleen and Matthew
Civil wedding, Cortona, May 2009

Arleen and Matthew were married in an elegant and intimate civil wedding in one of the most beautiful and romantic towns in Southern Tuscany: Cortona. The village has become more popular over the last years, following the book and movie, "Under the Tuscan Sun", but the medieval town retains it's charm and attraction.

The town hall, with its wooden panels and stone fireplace, is a warm yet calm setting, full of history from the Etruscan roots of the town. The civil ceremony allows the couple scope for personalizing the ceremony - readings, music, vows and exchange of rings can all be included.

Arleen and Matthew took a short trip out of the town itself; the surrounding land about Cortona is a harmony of cornfields, wild corners of poppies and spring flowers, olvie groves and vineyards.
