Not all weddings are the same. They should all be different, but this wedding was more different than most...
Two brides and four dresses, two grooms and a collection of ties, watches and cufflinks, printed black and white runner for the table, black and white vases throughout the buffet and meal. The couples wrote with very clear ideas for the style, with keywords such as glamorous, Hollywood, fun... The brides also gave our floral designer plenty of scope for her own interpretation, and knowledge of the villa, the flowers that would be in season, and that would work for this length of external, summer event.
Lindsey and Nick, and Sarah and Jon were married in the afternoon in the grounds of the villa, with a symbolic pledging, exchanging of vows ceremony, written in part by the couples to reflect their feelings and declaration in front of their families and friends. The blessing was accompanied by a string trio, and then followed with a trio of Tuscan folk music during the buffet.
The table was a U shaped set-up on the lawn overlooking the evening sunset; hundreds of different sizes of candles, a mix of small and large vases with compositions of tones of white and pink, and a long and relaxed Tuscan menu into the night. They chose a millefoglie chocolate wedding cake that was made on the spot by our chef.
Sarah, bride n. 1 writes:
Buongiorno, Ben!
Jon and I are back home now, and Lindsey and Nick are in Greece for their honeymoon. On behalf of the 4 of us and our family and friends too, we wanted to tell you how wonderful the villa and the wedding were. Everything was absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a more perfect experience. I am sad that I did not get to meet your wife, but please let her know how gorgeous the table settings and flowers were. As you know Lindsey and I were somewhat of "Bridezillas" and we were speechless when we saw all of the decorations. Everything was exactly what we wanted.
Thank you for making our wedding a wonderful memory for us and all of our guests to have.
And Lindsey, the second bride:
Dear Ben,
We are already missing life at the villa - laying out by the pool, eating antipasto and drinking vino!
We can't even begin to thank you for how wonderful everything turned out. The wedding day was perfect from start to finish. You handled everything - your services and coordination were impeccable and allowed us to just relax and enjoy the day. The decor and flowers were exactly what we asked for. All of our wishes were incorporated, down to the last detail. The photographer was so wonderful to work with and we couldn't be more happy with the pictures that were taken. The food was absolutely incredible (people are still talking about it!)... and the cake- wow! It was the best wedding cake I have ever had! We kept waiting for that "one thing" to go wrong, but it never did. It was truly flawless...
Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding and we have you and Italy Weddings to thank for that. Thank you for making the day a dream come true!
