"...Simon and I just wanted to say a big thank you to you both for putting
together such a memorable wedding day for us. We had such an amazing
day, one we will never forget..."
Peta and Simon travelled from Australia, to this private, intimate small villa in the hills to the north of Florence, for a symbolic blessing with just their closest family and friends.
There were several elements that were most important for the bride - beyond the setting and wedding day being relaxing and comfortable for her guests. Peta wanted the flowers and table decoration to be a full, abundant, romantic and luxurious setting, both bride and groom wanted the ceremony to be completely personal, written by themselves, with their own wording, vows, and complete control over timing and choice of music.
Italyweddings were of course more than happy to oblige, and the resulting wedding event was thoroughly enjoyed by all present - with top Tuscan cuisine served to the intimate party of sixteen guests, by the most renowned caterers of Florence, all fresh local ingredients prepared on site, and a freshly made millefoglie wedding cake to finish the meal, illuminated under the mature oaks beside the villa.
A wedding in the hills above Florence, even in the height of summer, affords a more cool and comfortable setting, with fresh breezes over the olive groves and through the oak forests, and for the week long stay, this area gives guests all three of the best possibilities Tuscany offers: cultural visits to Florence and the Tuscan hill-towns at a short drive, walks through the natural, unspoilt countryside around the villa, or simply relaxing around the pool at the villa itself.
