Sarah and Richard travelled rom Australia for their Siena wedding - deciding only a matter of weeks prior to avoid the big wedding plans back home, in favor of a small, intimate, personal and meaningful wedding in Italy.

They chose Siena (the city that gave it's name to one of their beautiful daughters) for the wedding. A truly magnificent location, and hard to find a setting for a wedding more steeped in history, and so perfectly unchanged since medieval times. The wedding in the Palazzo Pubblico, right on the Piazza del Campo, is the perfect setting for a civil wedding, and the ceremony itself is warm, intimate, and allows the flexibility for readings, music, and personal vows. Sarah and Richard opted for harp and viola for the ceremony music

April is a fickle month, and a spring shower came through in the afternoon, but the skies cleared for evening photography though the center of Siena, and at the Duomo - the main cathedral.

The couple and their wedding party went on for a relaxing meal in a private room at one of the top restaurants in Siena. A full wedding meal of fresh, local and typical dishes. Siena is perfect for porcini mushrooms, wild boar sauces, Pici pasta - a sort of oversized spaghetti - as well as more traditional wedding dishes, according to your tastes.
