Overview
The Castello di Monticiano is steepedin 10 centuries ids history, but now provides romance and hospitality, int eh heart of the Sienese countryside.
This is a place to relax and refresh is quite isolation, while being only an hour or less away from the most famous cities of Tuscany. The castle is at the center of a 650-acre farm that produces grain, olive oil and honey using fully certified organic methods.
Accomodation and Facilities
The castle is home to five independent houses, and four apartments in the hamlet that makes up the castello – as well as a separate wing of the castle manor itself. All speaces have been carefully restored, while preserving the genuine character of rural life in Tuscany.
The entire property with exclusive use can host up to 45 guests. The estate has private garden areas, laundry facilities, common rooms, a large swimming pool, a country tennis court and hiking trails. A buffet breakfast can be ordered, and other meals arranged on request.
Weddings
Whether you are planning a religious, a symbolic or a civil wedding, Castello di Monticiano is the perfect venue.
If you are planning a symbolic blessing there are private garden areas at the castle that can be used. A civil wedding can be held in Siena’s beautiful Palazzo Pubblico, or in the wonderful Grancia of Serre di Rapolano.
For a religious ceremony, the private chapel will be perfect for Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox weddings.
