So, the town hall in San Gimignano, and the Sala Dante in particular is a special setting – an austere room with stunning frescoes. The hall is named for the noted poet Dante Alighieri who visited San Gimignano in 1300 as an ambassador of the Florentine Republic, and the frescoes by Lippo Memmi were commissioned in 1317.

But what made Emma and Dave’s wedding particular was the town hall in San Gimignano had been set up for a period filming of a movie about 14th century Tuscany – so extra props in the Sala Dante made the feeling even more special for the couple!
