About This Project

Sophia and Socrates had a strong vision for their event – reflecting themselves as a couple, their backgrounds, what had brought them together, and wanting to celebrate and share that with the loved ones who had been part of their journey to where they stood in the world.

Where possible, we helped them negotiate the conventions to have what they wanted and remove that which they considered unnecessary and superfluous, to create a genuine, personal and meaningful wedding.

Their diverse cultures and backgrounds were represented in all aspects of the day, and a rural central Italy context, and frame for the event, allowed them the liberty to have those things they wanted to be central to the day.  Where possible, we helped them negotiate the conventions to have what they wanted and remove that which they considered unnecessary and superfluous, to create a genuine, personal and meaningful wedding.
Logistics remain, and a compromise is often necessary, to balance the dream and the vision, with the practicalities of a wedding later in the year when warm weather is not guaranteed, and at a smaller (but incredibly charming) venue with the limitations such a facility may create, with this number of guests celebrating hard into the night! Working to find this balance is doubtless one of the most challenging parts of wedding planning!
